The myth of multi tasking

Sometimes I wish there was something like the show The Mythbusters which handled all the myths in project management and software development. First on my wish list would be multi tasking – they perception of feeling productive. Here are some new research results from Stanford University, shared by the Heath Brothers.

This is a multi tasker:

“They’re suckers for irrelevancy,” said communication Professor Clifford Nass, one of the researchers whose findings are published in the Aug. 24 edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. “Everything distracts them.”
